Classic Rock Awards 2016 - Johnny Depp Performs Live for the First Time in Japan!

Tokyo, Japan – November 7, 2016 – KLab, a leader in online mobile games, announced today that its subsidiary KLab Entertainment Inc., in partnership with TeamRock.com, has unveiled a special guest who will be performing live in Japan for the first time ever at the Classic Rock Awards 2016 + Live Performance.
Johnny Depp is the latest addition to an all-star lineup slated to appear at this year’s epic event. After forming the Hollywood Vampires alongside rock legends Alice Cooper and Joe Perry in 2015, the California-based rock supergroup released its self-titled debut album the same year. Starting in May 2016, the band underwent a two-month long tour that took them across the United States, catapulting Depp from the role of high-profile Hollywood actor to certified rock star.
Johnny Depp has visited the country many times to promote his films in the past. However, this year’s Classic Rock Awards marks the first time in history for the living legend to perform live on stage in Japan.
Boasting a lineup featuring Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Cheap Trick and more, Classic Rock Awards 2016 promises to be an evening of epic proportions in which rock superstars from around the world gather under one roof to deliver an evening of unforgettable performances for the first time ever in Japan. The first half of the event will center on an awards ceremony celebrating the work of rock legends active in the past year, while the second half features two hours of jam sessions by world-renowned artists.
Notice: Joe Walsh and Kirk Hammett Will Not Appear in This Year’s Event
KLab Entertainment has announced that two of the artists scheduled to appear in this year’s Classic Rock Awards, Joe Walsh and Kirk Hammett, have chosen to cancel their performances due to personal circumstances. The event staff has expressed their deepest regrets to the many fans of these rock legends looking forward to seeing them live at the event.
